This weekend we took some of the band kids to the state solo and ensemble contest. They did really well. I was so proud of them. It's fun to see these kids work so hard towards a goal. They worked really hard and I helped them achieve their goals.
In thinking about this, I realize that I can do the same for myself. I mean, I am set up to have a huge support network on sparkpeople.com. I guess I need to think of this website as my personal lesson in nutrition and fitness then go and apply what I learned to this week. Just like in college, I had a one hour flute lesson each week. In our lesson the instructor and I set goals for the week and I worked really hard all week (or was lazy) and then we evaluated how the week went and set more goals.
I have realized that starting the weight-loss journey feels hard. I'm tired most of the time. I haven't been very active in almost a year so my body does have to adjust. How long did it take for you to not feel completely exhausted at the end of the day while you were beginning exercise and tracking food intake for weight loss?
