Motivation Received

Monday, June 09, 2014

A local bridal store was having a huge sale so I decided to try on wedding dresses today. After 45 minutes and 5 dresses. I left the store in tears. It was an awful experience. I don't want to look like I do now on my wedding day.

It's funny, but I don't always see myself at my current weight. Then I catch a glance at myself in a full length mirror or a new photo of myself. And I don't even recognize myself. In my head I'm still a size 4/6 not a size 12/14. So who is that? Today was a reality check. I have another piece of motivation.

Sometimes these reality checks are just what it takes. For me, it was a visit to the doctor for test results who told me my cholesterol was too high - it's back in the normal ranges now thanks to my good Spark habits.

Usually the mirror or a pair of jeans are my motivation. Hang in there!
