Beautiful weekend, gorgeous weather

We have had lots of rain in the past week but it was a gorgeous weekend. Thank goodness, the rain held off until I was at work last night.
Butch and I bought Brendon and his baby sister Serenity a sandbox for Christmas/birthday presents. Both loved it. Serenity was fascinated by the shovels and other sand toys and didn't try to eat any sand. That's ahead I am sure. I held her though so she didn't actually get right down in the sand since she is only 5 months old.
Saturday Butch and I went to a local renaissance fair. It was a fairy theme but there were also goblins, trolls, knights, unicorns, queens, elves, gnomes, mermaids, dragons and every magical creature in between. Mostly faeries though and what a delightful fest it was. There was an amazing Celtic band there that played bagpipes and drums. I bought one of their CD's. I love to listen to Celtic music. It was sunny and hot all weekend, high 80's . I'ts supposed to get into the 90's a couple days this week including today. Very humid here too.
Sunday we went to Butch's nephew's high school graduation. A nice picnic by a beautiful lake.
Good news, I am finally going back to 2nd shift at my job. And the best news is that I will go following the 4th of July weekend which for most is a 4 day weekend shut-down but because I am going from 3rd to 2nd, I get an extra day off. Not having to go back to work until Monday afternoon at 3 p.m. instead of Sunday night at 11 p.m.
Not sure yet what we are planning to do other than a picnic and campfire at one of my sister's houses. I would like to go away for an over-nighter to the finger lakes but we shall see.
