Bouganvillea Garden Project - Update #3

All twelve of my Bougainvilleas are planted. (Yeah!
Today, I started planting my little flowers. See picture above. The flowers I picked up from Lowe's are called Vinca. Even though they are not in the Impatient family, they look like an Impatient. However, they like full sun. They bloom in the Summer & Fall though I think in Florida probably longer. In Southern Florida, Miami area, they are considered a perennial. They may or may not be so in Central Florida. I got the initial bunch because of the color combination with the Bougainvilleas.
Sunday as a reward to myself, I went to Bok Tower. I got 45 minutes of moving up and down the hillside. Part of the 45 minutes were broken up with breaks. It was too hot to push it. I love the place for exercise among beauty.
I was hoping for inspiration for what to plant in my little side beds. I got it. The Bougainvilleas are supposed to attract Hummingbirds. Love that. While I was at Bok Tower saw more than one butterfly. Realized I want a flowering bush that will attract butterflies. I've tentatively decided on Butterfly Weed. If I understand what I've read, they'll stay the right height. Not sure about the color combination. Most pictures of Butterfly Weed I've seen are in the orange family. Certain orange & pinks I do like. So I'm hoping it will work.
At this point, a lot of the Bougainvilleas have lost their initial flowers. They haven't put new flowers yet BUT they are growing. I do have one runt but it started that way.
So to recap:
12 of 12 Bougainvilleas planted.
1 of 13 sections of Vinca flowers planted.
0 of 2 Butterfly Weed plants put in.
Most initial weeding done between fences.
When done, all sections between fences will have mulch (see picture above.)
Will update when get more completed.
