Whole30ing – Day 11 (Thursday)

Friday, August 15, 2014

In preparation for going away this weekend (leaving Friday), I cleaned out the refrigerator and my meals were based around what I found. That probably sounds like it was a bad plan but the leftovers were protein and veggies so I could incorporate the items easily. I had thought I would have time to run to the store and get some things to bring with me this weekend but with work being insane this week, that is not going to happen. So I am not sure what this weekend will bring food wise and the challenges. I do know there will be lobster!! I will be Maine so ya having lobster! My mother’s friend’s grandson works on a lobster boat so he will get us some right off the boat. Can’t resist that!!

The time crunch because of work has also made my exercising suffer. Okay that is not a totally honest statement. My exercise had been slacking before the work craziness and it is pure laziness. I do walk my two dogs twice a day but that is not always raising the heart rate.

I always struggle with exercise. Not because I physically can’t do it or I don’t have the equipment or means to exercise. I have a gym membership (and a friend to meet there!!!), dvds, equipment in the basement and still I don’t do it. I keep buying exercise things but the novelty wears off and I don’t do it. So frustrated with myself. Another thing I need to address next week after I return home from Maine. My list is growing……

Not sure how my blogging will be the next few days so may have to just do a recap of the weekend (Friday – Sunday) on Monday. What ever happens this weekend I will take full responsibility and account for it!

What I ate on Day 11:

Saute of ground beef, swiss chard and fire roasted tomatoes
1 cup grapes

Big salad with mixed greens, tomatoes, carrots, onion, pepper rings with olive oil and lemon juice
5 oz leftover chicken with almond meal coating

Paleo Portuguese Sausage and Kale soup, appr 2 cups

¼ raw almonds
Sliced turkey with Paleo mayo; green olives

Aren't you sooooo lucky to be looking forward to Maine lobster this weekend! And aren't you lucky drawn butter is on the plan!!! emoticon

We don't eat out a lot when we are trailering since we have a kitchen with us. But when we were in Maine, I told TC: I am eating ALL THE MAINE LOBSTER I WANT! We were there over two weeks and we ate out more in those two weeks then we did the rest of the 5-month trip.

So I am jealous of that!

You are doing great with the eating; have a wonderful time this weekend and I know you'll be ready to address the activity part of the equation when you get back.

    Keep up the good work!
