Snatching Victory from the Jaws of Defeat

Saturday, August 16, 2014

Well my first 5% Challenge will end in a few hours, & I'm nowhere near my goal. Feeling about as low as pond scum for letting my Teammates down, & very disappointed that I let myself down as well. emoticon Was starting to beat myself up over it, & then I stopped. The emoticon is only 1 tool. At times it's very fickle. It doesn't measure how hard I worked, or how many healthy choices I made. It doesn't take into account that my hands are too swollen to wear my rings. No it is only 1 very tiny part of this journey. It does Not & will Not define me as a failure with this 5% challenge!

I am VICTORIOUS!! emoticon I am Strong emoticon I can do this emoticon & this emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon & my first emoticon I've lost almost 10 inches, 3 of them off my waist, my breathing & endurance have improved, I've shaved 5 minutes off my time for a mile.. & I've dropped a size. !! Does that sound like defeat to you? Well it sure doesn't to me. In MY book I call it a resounding success. So I'm claiming my VICTORY!! emoticon emoticon How about you Don't let the scale define you . Look for your victories, & lets CELEBRATE them emoticon

Looking forward to the Fall Challenge! emoticon emoticon

Wanted to give a shout out the the Fabulous emoticon you've all been so supportive. Thanks.

God Bless
Sunny

I "failed" (according to my scale) on my first 5% challenge too. But I learned so many new things & made so many great friends that I am determined to keep it up! Building new, healthy habits is so important!
Hope to see you on the emoticon team for the fall challenge!
