My goal in January 2013 was to not be fat and forty. I had a specific weight I wanted to weigh by my 40th birthday. Unfortunately I didn't make that goal. I really wanted to, but not bad enough apparently. In 2013 I lost 45 lbs. In 2014 I have not really lost any. I have fluctuated a lot within a 8 lb. range, but I have maintained the weight loss from the previous year. In the past almost 2 years I have completed the P90X program once, the Insanity program once and almost a second time (still working on it), the 60 day Combat program once, and walked my first 5K with Jessie in the Girls on the Run program last May. So, with the turn of the new decade in my life-- I need to set some more goals and work toward them. The first one is to run/walk/jog my first 5K by myself. I am planning to sign up for the Thanksgiving Day Turkey Trot that is in about a month. Today I ran a half a mile in 5 minutes and the whole mile in 11 minutes. The rest of it I walked. Time to work up to it again and do my best.
