Spark the Season day 19

Dinner: Wasn't very exciting tonight. Tired after a long week I made scrambled eggs with Jimmy Dean Turkey sausage.

Growing up we didn't really have much tradition. We ate at the table and usually talked politics but as I got older- I refused to eat with my parents (I know, I seem so sweet!) so...I took to eating alone in my room. In retrospect- probably the beginning of a bad habit of eating alone. And associating meals with negative feelings.

When I was married we ate together- and then with the kids- until they were teens and then getting everyone to the table at the same time seemed impossible. We still enjoy when we can all eat together, though.

I think being mindful of what I'm eating is something I need to keep working on- I can be very ignorant of what's going in my face when I'm eating while doing other things, like being on the computer!

Looks like a great supper that I would enjoy. I hear you about the mindful eating though -- I tend to eat at the computer or in front of the TV and then wonder where the food went! Something to work on.
