Humourous Quote of the Day: “If you think nobody cares if you’re alive, try missing a couple of car

“If you think nobody cares if you’re alive, try missing a couple of car payments.”
Flip may be right in one respect, but if we give this quote some thought we’d discover that there are lots of people in our lives who care about us, who care that we are alive. Some care more about us than we do about ourselves. We all have family and friends who appreciate, cherish, and love us. They are genuinely concerned about our health and welfare. The question is, “Are we genuinely concerned about our help and welfare?”
Ask yourself, would I risk my life to save the life of my spouse, child, or other love one? Most of us would take the risks because we love them. But wait! Doing the right thing when it comes to good health is not risky—it death-defying, no doubt, but not risky. Do we love ourselves enough to be health conscious?
I want to live for those who care about me, those who love me—to do that I must care that I am alive. I have to live a healthier life, lose weight, get my blood pressure down, eat the right food and get proper exercise. I have to develop healthier habits. I need to care about being alive and healthy.
It all starts with me.
