Day 29: Warmth.
I went with my DIL for a spa pedicure today- my first one. (I've had a pedicure but just once). It is sometimes hard for me to let people touch my legs/feet...I am so self conscious about how fat they are and I have lymphedema in one leg plus- the PMR makes my skin so sensitive to pain. But- I went. It was lovely- it was warm and cozy and felt great. Yes, it hurt a little but I think the massage was good for my legs anyway. And yes, I ended up with bruises in places but I bruise easily and they'll pass.
Day 30: Resolution: My Sapphire team- several of us are starting the Beck Book for our January resolution. I am not big on resolutions per se- but the end of the year always has me re-thinking how things went- what I want to change. It is an ending of sorts and that always means I'm looking at a beginning. So that's what this year has on tap: Changes...
Day 31: Celebration: We usually do the same thing each new years. We watch "When Harry Met Sally"- kiss at midnight- and go to bed. We are not par-tiers (any more). It's a quiet slip from one year to another- but we do it together- and that's the part that means the most to me. I am looking forward to ending each year with my love- and beginning again with a new year with him beside me. It's my greatest joy- he supports and loves me to my core- and I know and feel it in every moment of our time together. A gift. I'm grateful.
Thank you, those who took this journey with me. I am ready for 2015!
