Made it another week!

Here we are at the end of another week. Trying to get back into a more normal sleep schedule has proven harder that I thought. I started the week ready to jump back into the real world, but I realized that the time I took off over Christmas was the first real time I've taken off in years. I take days off quite frequently, but normally they're so I can accomplish something that has to be taken care of - sick kids, doctor's appointments, taking kids to their hockey games, a day to get the animals to the vet for checkups - not just to be home, to be a mom, to relax and breath for a moment. I forget how much I really have going on, and how stressed out I get, so returning to that has been difficult.
And yet, we made it thru! Kids are happy and healthy. Animals are taken care of and spoiled as always. I was able to spend a few nights with my oldest working out. My youngest has two hockey games tomorrow and his bag is ready, skates are freshly sharpened, and jerseys are in the dryer as I write this.
I even got a chance to get the grocery shopping done while my youngest (and my ADHD) child was at hockey practice last night. I had plenty of time to pay attention to what I was spending my money on, which felt great. Next week though, I think I need to find the time to come up with a complete shopping list so I don't feel like I'm trying to guess my way though the store. There were a few other things missing from my week that I didn't get to - but I still have the weekend to go! All in all, I feel very positive and uplifted by what I was able to accomplish this week while keeping health at the forefront! :)
