I got up this morning at 9 am and as usual my husband had been up for hours already. Sometimes he gets up at 5:30 am like he used to when he was working. Old habits are hard to change, I guess. Not me! I like to sleep later in the morning and go to bed later at night.

Anyway, to my surprise, my sweet hubby had emptied the dishwasher of the clean dishes from last night, and folded two loads of bath towels and put them away. In addition he got my computer started for me. (Yesterday the button to turn it on broke and fell into the computer case) I have to find the warranty to see if it can be replaced or fixed because it is less than a year old.

As I commented in my last blog, I spent a week with my grandson. My diet went out the window pretty much because I was away from home and wasn't able to control things as easily as I can at home. Well, it's taken me all weekend and until today to get back on track. I'm back again, doing what I planned on doing last week, but doing it better now. I know that the scale shows more pounds than it did before I went to my grandsons, but I expected that to happen, and it is only up about 4 pounds. Much of that could be water weight and will come off easier, but some of it may be actual weight gain and that comes off not as easily. But I'm ok with that...I'm back on track and that is what matters.

Two of the blogs from other that I read today were encouraging to me. It gives me hope to see others struggling too, and overcome those struggles. I know this isn't the last struggle I will have in this journey, but I pray that I will be encouraged each time to get back on track again. It's always so gratifying to see other's admitting to the same things I've fallen down on...and to see they have gotten back up and are doing what they want to be doing.

So, for today and tomorrow, my task is to continue to track my food intake, get back to exercising daily, and to plan a menu for next week and make out the shopping list. That always helps me stay on track.

I thank God that there are other people willing to share. I thank Him for the internet and for programs like SparkPeople to help us along in our quest for better health. And today, more than anything, I thank Him for my loving husband who is there for me and loves me. I praise God for almost 44 years of marriage and that marriage is getting better every day and every year. In Jesus Name, Amen

Praise God for your marriage of endless love that is also filled with support of gold!
I also find terrific support in others blogs and their confessions of struggling which, you are right, is tremendously helpful! Today I praise Him for you and your undying faithfulness to our team, your faithfulness to Him and, most importantly, your faithfulness to your own personal journey. You gained whilst visiting your grandson, an expected but I know not welcomed thing....you will also lose that four pounds in due time with Him leading your journey! I know that I often think that I was expecting a few...never really happy with it, but expecting is human. So isn't Not being happy to see it!! You've got my support and I look forward to sharing in our journeys!
