Being up to it!

Thursday, February 26, 2015

Yesterday I had my RA doctor appointment. What I heard and was told gave me another challenge in life. And, I truly can say that aging is not for wimps! My from my neck to my hips, my RA is being very aggressive. That explains all my pain. Now, I have to workout a new diet as well as add new exercises to my daily routine.

Here I go, moving forward. Growing stronger as a person and giving it my all to be healthier.

My late husband had RA which I didn't even know about until after he had a heart attack and that brought him out of remission and it started getting aggressive and deforming. Hope you can get your pain under control.

My former neighbor's husband just learned he had RA, also aggressive. I gave him a prayer cloth (see Acts 19:11.12). Though medicine, healthy eating and exercise help, it is God who put healing in the body and who is the Great Healer. Altogether, they work to make you whole.

What diet were you given? Paleo, low carb, ? I follow low carb diet and sprinkle turmeric on my eggs, etc., which lowers inflammation and pain.

I hope change in diet and exercise is successful. emoticon

I hope you strongly look at eating foods that are anti-flammatory. You can get help from a nutritionist, doctors online, or go into Dr. Oz. I hope you are a victor! Me too. eva

Hi Sharon-- I truly believe that you will become the "victor" through all the trials of this life. I also suffer from the pain of aging--- I cannot open jars anymore because of my hurting hands. . . Your blog message is a positive message!
Thank you, and may God give you His comforting grace!

I'm sorry to hear about your RA bothering you so much. That's awful! It sounds like you have a good, thorough doctor, though. I hope the new diet and exercises help you.

My grandma used to say that growing old was hard, but it was better than the alternative. She used to tell me all the things her doctor was saying about things being wrong, and I just wondered if it might be better to not know. Because a lot of stuff you couldn't do anything about. But now I think it's good to know, so you don't think it's all psychological or something. Plus, they're always coming out with new treatments. Maybe someday everything will be treatable.

Good luck on the new diet! Tell us how it goes. emoticon emoticon

My dad use to say 'Marty, don't ever grow-up!' The problem is we have no choice! The funny thing is I am older now then he was when he started telling me that and he still is telling me that! You are right, growing old is not fun! It is good that you know what the issue is so that you know how change your diet and exercise to keep making you the healthiest you can be!
