Today is Daddy's second to last day in rehabilitation. There's nothing more "they" can do. He has lost his ability to walk; therefore, he cannot go home, but will instead, move to the other "wing" where the nursing home is. Praying for a smooth transition.

After asking my sweet daddy to pose, this is what I received...

    I had a similar situation with my mom's rehab. she was, also, redirected to permanent placement and never did come home.
    My Best advice is to keep your eyes and ears open and be a good advocate for your dad. Visit as often as you can. Have lunch with him and/or bring him his favorites. (even if he can't have it !!!) Put up family pictures and bring fresh plants and flowers....
    This is now his home...It's the quality of time Not the length of time that is important.
    I'm so glad I did these things for my made her smile !
