because it's important to me

Tuesday, April 21, 2015

I work out at 4 am...
I track all my food...
I drink a gallon of water daily...
I make smart choices...
I limit my alcohol...

...because it's important to me.

I'm really struggling lately. I have no motivation to workout, I am eating poorly and I sometimes feel like I just don't care. is it worth it? why bother? because it's important to me! I want to be healthy! I want to be comfortable in my skin and clothes. I want to go to the store and like the way I look in clothes. not cry every time I exit a dressing room. I can't go on this way anymore, I have to keep my goals in mind and remind myself of what I'm doing and why.

I can't let one bump in the road derail me. I have to learn to get back on track. quickly. not days, months, weeks later. I know what I need to do. it's all listed above. I just need to do it. practice what I preach, that sort of thing.

my health is my number one priority, so why am I treating it like it's number 5?

Right - get back on track quickly. That's the secret. Don't worry about what is past, live in the present. Make the right decisions now. I'm trying to tell myself this same thing.

Just concentrate on the food. Eating to Plan doesn't take any more time than not eating to Plan. When life eases up to the point that you have more time (and it will, it always does), you can add the exercise back in. It's not an all or nothing task.

Try starting from scratch and make 1 small change at a time. Aim for 10 minute of exercise each day. I usually aim for 10 and end up doing more! Small changes do bring about big changes!! And yes, after a slip up that we all have.... Get right back on track.... Not tomorrow, but with your next meal. You can do it! I know what you mean... My head knows all of what to do and what not to do, it is just getting me to do and not do those things!! Actually do them, not just know them!! But, it will happen. I mess up, then I get right back on my healthy eating plan and drinking water and exercise. I don't let those bumps stop me any more!!
