Burning Calories- not just exercise

At first I was disappointed that I didn't get on the treadmill yesterday, like I planned. Life happened instead, but it was a good thing.
I spent 4 hours deep cleaning and reorganizing my kitchen. I went through every food product, threw out expired stuff, wiped down all the shelves, put new shelf liner in. Added more red accents and wall art to my cabinets.
We live in a 1940s duplex, upstairs, the kitchen isn't much, but hubby has done a lot of customizing to make it functional for us.
In the process of all this work, I burned over 900 calories~ Pretty darn good if I say so myself.
And I have a really pretty kitchen to boot.
Realization: don't beat yourself up for not going to the gym, or walking, or the treadmill, or whatever. If we are moving exerting energy then we are doing our bodies good!
