Progress Pics... 7/9/14 to 6/19/15

Monday, June 22, 2015

I am still pursuing my active lifestyle. I don't have time to blog and things due to work, school, and the horses. And well I've choosen to put my time into going to the gym and being as active as I can be. I have lost a little over 28 lbs. I know that doesn't sound like much but it is. On 7/9/14 I was 180 lbs... I took that picture because I was just done with the way I was looking and my horse's vet said if I wanted him to be healthy I had to make a change. My progress was extremely slow. I fell off the wagon a bunch of times. I wouldn't work out and just restricted my diet. Then I started working out and really paying attention to what I was putting in my mouth. Yes, my progress is slow. Yes, people lose 100 lbs in a year. But I didn't. I couldn't. If I went any faster I don't believe I would still be at this a year later. I am known to give up and this pace is the perfect pace for me. I still have another 15-20 lbs I would like to shed. I know I can do this. On 6/19/15 I weighed in at 151.2 lbs. I haven't been that weight in 6 years. And currently I am in the best shape I have ever been in. I work out at least 3 days a week. I lift weights (which I love!)... and I'm trying to get my cardio in.

I just want to say you can do this. It doesn't matter how slow it is. It doesn't matter if your routine is different from someone else's. As long as it works for you and your are healthy then go for it! And please please please take pictures. It's hard to take that first picture. To see your stomach hanging over your jeans... to see the double chin. But it will be worth it to see how far you have come. When I have bad days it's pictures like these that give me the motivation and inspiration to keep going. I have come such a long way and I have kept this up for almost a year. I can keep this up and continue to maintance.
