Getting back on track

Thursday, July 09, 2015

I've been having issues with my eating lately. I'm fine during the day at work but once I get home all I want to do is eat. I've been going over on my calories. I've come so far in this journey. Haven't weighed this less since before I got pregnant with my first daughter. I'm usually running to one of my daughter's games or having to drive her here and there. Since school is out, she is playing on a softball league. Games don't start until 6 and when school is in I head straight to them from work. And she has her license now so some of my time has been freed up.

Part of me thinks I'm sabotaging myself. Very well could be. I started this journey last May and want to be at my goal weight in November. I went to the gym after work yesterday and did ok for awhile. Time to get back to crock pot meals for dinner and hit the gym after work.

I'm in the same boat honey. Why is it so fast and easy to gain, but so long and difficult to lose? Go figure I mean count those calories. You are doing such a great job steady as she goes rewards come with time.

Thanks for the support guys. I am planning my meals during the day but dinner is usually whatever we pull out of the freezer. Think I'll spend some time tonight and plan out some meals for next week before I go grocery shopping tomorrow. It will be for a short week. We leave for vacation on Wednesday!!

I have been finding the same thing...fine during the day and then overeating when I get home. But you know what I have also noticed? That I am planning my morning meals, lunch and snack because I have to be organized and take that to work with me but I am not so good at planning my evening then I just make whatever is fast and it usually isn't as healthy as when I plan it out. So maybe pre-planning is what we both need to stay on track a little better? =) Crock pot meals sound wonderful! If you have any really good favorites, let me know!

How is your calorie count during the day? If you spread your eating evenly throughout the day, maybe you won't be as hungry in the evenings...& sometimes if you are like me, you also need that H20 as a filler. Often I find I get tired at night & just reach for the food as a filler & NOT because I'm hungry. Self sabotage could be an old, bad habit. You did great getting back to the gym...Keep that up & build new HEALTHY habits.

    I'm with you!!! emoticon
