Lucky 7 - 7 Lbs. Down!

Well ... The scale has moved just a few pounds; but I'll take it emoticon I'll call it my "LUCKY 7."

Although I have a loooong way to go before I reach goal - I keep telling myself: "BABY STEPS, JINA --BABY STEPS!"

And Many Thanks to the "SPARKLERS, who keep forging on. You encourage me more than you know ~ jlo

    Thank you, my emoticon 's. You have become my cup of inspiration these last few months, and it means more than you'll ever know. To share my honest feelings and to get positive feedback ... It humbles me (and comforts me, as well).

    @BLUJADED - Your idea of an "award center" in the brain ... That's genius! I say this because I've written my rewards on paper; but I haven't really planted them in my head. Does that make sense?

    In essence, we have to look at this journey as one of "positive transformation" - with nice rewards along the way. We're transforming the old -- INTO something new. Stronger and better as you say. I like that thought emoticon

    I have found it VERY helpful to focus on those smaller goals instead of the ultimate goal. I see that you are currently striving for some new sneakers! Print a picture of the ones you want and make that 30 pounds be your main focus. (Even better would be 10 pounds - a small goal that can be accomplished in a month or so is much better for our 'reward center' in the brain to keep us motivated!!). You have a great list of rewards to strive for over the coarse of your journey! That's really what it's all about - they way we are transforming ourselves over the journey - not just the end result!

    We cannot be who we were when we started this! That did not work for us! We are molding and shaping ourselves, whittling away the pain, fear, anger, shame, and sadness to the new, healthy, strong person that has ALWAYS been within us!!

    YOU GOT THIS!! You are 7 pounds closer to those new sneaks!
