HITTING THE GROUND RUNNING!!!

HI EVERYONE!

I HAVEN'T BLOGGED FOR A COUPLE OF MONTHS, SO I FIGURED IT WAS TIME TO SAY "HELLO" AND GIVE YOU AN UPDATE.

MY GOAL FOR BLOGGING IS TO DO ONE PER WEEK. I WAS TRYING A VIDEO DIARY, BUT THAT WAS WAY TOO TIME CONSUMING...WRITING IS A LOT SIMPLER!

SINCE JUNE 9TH, I HAVE WAVERED IN MY COMMITMENT TO STAY FOCUSED IN BOTH NUTRITION AND FITNESS. I DECIDED TWO WEEKS AGO THAT I WAS GOING TO TACKLE MY HEALTH HARD!!! HERE IS BRIEFLY WHAT I'VE BEEN DOING FOR THE LAST TWO WEEKS:

FITNESS:

= I HAVE BEEN MAKING A POINT TO PARK AS FAR AWAY FROM STORE DOORS AS POSSIBLE AND THEN POWER-WALKING TO THEM (AND BACK AFTER I'M DONE SHOPPING)
= I HAVE PUSHED MYSELF EACH DAY TO WORK UP A SWEAT DOING SOME SORT OF PHYSICAL ACTIVITY, WHETHER IT IS INSIDE OR OUTSIDE
= I HAVE TRIED EACH DAY TO HIT MY 6,000-STEP GOAL SET FOR ME BY MY SPARK ACTIVITY TRACKER
= WHEN I AM NOT MOTIVATED TO FINISH MY GOALS, MY HUSBAND HAS ENCOURAGED ME TO DO SO...I HAVE GOTTEN UP EACH TIME AND FINISHED
= I PURCHASED SOME NEW TOOLS TO USE FOR EXERCISING (JUMP-ROPE, ANKLE/WRIST WEIGHTS, BRACES FOR MY KNEE AND FOOT)

NUTRITION:

= I HAVE NOT EATEN FAST FOOD, OR ANY FOOD OUTSIDE OF OUR HOUSE FOR THAT MATTER, IN TWO WEEKS
= I HAVE GONE SHOPPING AND STOCKED UP ON TONS OF MIXED FRUIT, SALADS, HEALTH DRINKS (NAKED JUICE, ORANGE JUICE), AND SNACK BARS (ODWALLA)
= I HAVE ONLY BEEN EATING WHEN I'M HUNGRY, RATHER THAN JUST "SEEING" THE FOOD THERE AND EATING IT FOR NO REASON
= MY WATER INTAKE HAS INCREASED BY DOUBLE (AT LEAST), AND I AM KEEPING IT ON ME AT ALL TIMES
= WHEN I AM TEMPTED TO EAT SOMETHING NASTY, I REMEMBER THIS SIMPLE QUOTE: "THE JUNK FOOD YOU'RE CRAVING RIGHT NOW, OR THE BODY YOU'VE WANTED FOREVER! YOU CHOOSE!" ~ THAT USUALLY WORKS RIGHT AWAY
= FOR THOSE TIMES I *DO* CRAVE SWEET FOODS, I HAVE BOUGHT LITTLE PUDDING CUPS (I HAVE HAD THEM FOR 2 WEEKS AND HAVE ONLY HAD 1)

OVERALL, I'M DOING VERY WELL RIGHT NOW. I HAVE A LOT OF MOMENTUM AND AM TRYING TO MAKE SURE THAT THE MOMENTUM STAYS!
