I went to check on my building at about 10 AM and then planned to go shopping. When I got there they told me the new girl had walked out and one had not shown up. Leaving me 2 CNAs down. I rolled up my pant legs and got to work. They found out I am not afraid to work.
One of my residents grabbed my hand. He is a stroke victim and he was trying to tell me something. "C...N....A...". he said. I said "you need help sir." He tapped my hand hard with his finger and said. "You need help."
Hire some more people ... That is what I hear all the time. That is all that consumes me most days. recruiting and calling references. I made job offers to 8 people last week. One came back with her drug screening. What is wrong with people. One.. we can't pay enough. They need at least 15 per hour. The hours are long and hard and sometimes messy.
