My Hunger Has Returned

Wednesday, June 13, 2007

AFter the past few months of making an impact to myself mentally and physically, I have ruined it all. I have gained 3 pounds in the last 2 weeks by binging and just not caring of what is going on. I haven't been consistent with my working out and just eating to make myself feel better.

I have just eaten the fried foods, caffeine galore, I think I may give Rachel Ray a run for her money with the iced coffee. I have my belly bloated, my stomach sick and my face a nice connect the dots. I am thinking of starting back at stage 1 and starting from scratch again but debating on just taking a realistic view of what I did and succeed by knowing I can eat healtier and drop the unnecessary weight.

Hey, three pounds is nothing - look how much you have already lost! At least you know why you gained the weight, which is more than i can say, most of the time.

No need to start over... You just took a 2 week vacation that wasn't so hot.

Why are you "hungry"? For me, it is often boredom, exhaustion, loneliness and not actual hunger. I am, in fact, hungry for stimulation, sleep, company rather than for food. I only just realized this!!! The late night bingeing is a substitute for going to bed on time... The daytime trips to the refrigerator are searching for stimulation (little ones are a handful, but not always the most interesting company) and so on. Now I go to bed, get out of the house, or try to reconnect with dh.

Oh, and the scale sometimes lies. Apparently I have gained 3 pounds in the last 24 HOURS!!!

Keep at it girl, you know you can do it.
