Reflections on 2015

Monday, December 28, 2015

I am beyond grateful for the events that transpired this year. I graduated this December with that long awaited PhD. It took a little longer than expected. My graduate school career had a few bumps along the way- a divorce, being homeless, a near fatal car accident, and a cardiac event. Although the journey was rough, quitting was NEVER an option.

I also bought a house. I found a neglected rental property close to my family. The day after I closed- walls came down. The entire house got a make over. No contractors- just family members coming together and using their respective talents. Today, the sad mid-century ranch is a sleek and modern home.

My son & I are both healthy and very happy that we finally have a place to call out own and that we can look forward to new adventures.

What an amazing journey! How you got a Ph.D through it all is impressive. I am looking on your page because of a post of yours on a fasting team. Are you still doing any fasting? I did pretty good for years just "fasting" between three meals a day, but want to increase the health benefits of less food.
