Thanksgiving before Thanksgiving
Fall 2015 5% CHALLENGE.
I want to live out of a spirit of gratitude.
I want to be happier, healthier, more "grounded," and less overwhelmed with life.
Half-way through the challenge, on October 25, I will participate in the Marine Corps Marathon 10K race with my sister, MLH148. I want to keep up with her (!) and make her proud.
At the end of the challenge I want to be closer to 200 (my 5% goal is 205).
And in general I want to be less negative. I know "negative" things will happen. I know there will be days when I feel "negative." When that happens, I want to CHOOSE more positive, healthy, happy ways to cope. I want to spark!

I want to lose weight...gain strength,stamina and flexibility...and be a more positive, happy, calm, and grateful person.
Diet Plan for the 5% Fall Challenge:
I will eat breakfast, and something healthy every 3-4 hours. I will limit salt-bad fats-and sugars. I will take special care to LIMIT SALT. I will drink A LOT of water. I will write down everything I eat.
Fitness Plan for 5% Fall Challenge:
I will GET UP and MOVE every 30-60 minutes at workI will faithfully train for the 10K. And after October 25 I will walk for at least 30 minutes/day... and stretch for 20-minutes each evening. I will LOOK for opportunities to move, be active, stretch and climb stairs.
I am 56. I am married (no children).
Old habit: when I am overwhelmed, I EAT to isolate.
New habit: self-compassion and breathe, breathe, breathe.
