I love my fitbit. First I tried to get that illusive 10,000 steps (I was averaging about 5,000 a day at my desk job). Then I found myself with 20,000 step days!!! It got me thinking about virtual walks (check out the site Walking 4 Fun). I got hooked. I am walking the PCT (virtually). I have completed 2,100 miles so far! I should have it completed soon. I've loved the photos posted by the actual hikers. There were times I was glad my steps were around my house and not on that trail.... and other times I wondered if maybe someday I could plant my feet on a small section of that trail and see some of those beautiful sites! There are days I walk a few more steps because I want to get to a certain point on the trail by a set date. Who woulda thought that little gizmo would have got me moving like that!
