If you drink it, ink it.
If you bite it, write it.
If you snack it, track it.
If you nibble it, scribble it.
The Food Tracker is the best tool I use for accountability. I do better when I "write it down." I used to think of it as a chore. Weighing, measuring, portioning out my snacks. Now it is a part of my grocery shopping.
It is less expensive on the wallet to buy larger size packages but not on the waist line. So now, before I consider my shopping done, I split up my foods into "grab and go" sizes, it is amazing how much time you save with just one day's effort. My fruits, veggies and snacks are all put away in portion sizes sandwich bags. It has made packing my lunches a breeze.
The same way I felt about food tracking, I felt about exercise. It was always a chore to 'get it done'. That was pre-Fitbit. Now I enter challenges with my friends. I can't call my day complete until I reach my step goal. It is so motivating to feel the little vibration when you reach your goal. The Fitbit also motivates me to keep moving. I used to sit during TV and while talking on the phone. Now I put on my IPod and dance during commercials or house walk or walk in place while speaking on the phone. It is so great to sync to my Fitbit and watch those steps add up.
The Spark food tracker and my Fitbit...I don't leave home without them. :)
