My goal has been reached but my journey continues

I had to, I just had to find out and I actually made it! Goodbye to 75 pounds forever! (AND I DO MEAN FOREVER!) Everyone I know asks me how I did it and I wish I had the magic answer. For each of us it's different. For me it was when I stepped on the scale on March 2, 2015 and saw that I weighed 247.8 pounds! It was like a light went off in my head that said there was NO WAY I weighed that much! I literally stepped off the scale and got back on it at least 3 more times. That number did not change and It was then that I realized I needed to do some drastic changes in my life, but I did it one step at a time.

The next day I started walking on the treadmill which was exhausting! I could only walk 20 minutes and I was spent! I tried to walk at least 3x a week, then I upped it to 5x a week. Slowly I began to up my speed (I was still walking and to this day I never ran on my treadmill). I then I started eating better foods. I took a lot of starches out of my diet (I was a carboholoic) and stopped drinking wine every night and I stated drinking more water during the day. I never stopped eating and I never said I could not eat something because I was on a diet! I still had to have some dark chocolate after dinner and when I went out to eat I ate, but I made better choices with my food selections.

This whole weight loss thing is a process and it really is a journey. *I NEVER called this a diet. I was making permanent changes in my life and I was exercising on a regular basis.

Trust me on this, if I can do it YOU CAN DO IT!

My Journey is not over. I still want to lose 25 more pounds to make my total 100. I haven't set a time limit to this goal, but I know I'll do it because I already proved to myself that I CAN!
