I wish I had the magic formula

Well, I have lost 75.4 pounds and my next goal is to lose 25 more. I just looked as my first blog post when I lost 20 pounds (4/22/15) and I really wish I knew what the magic formula was. When I saw 2 great friends of mine last night they both wanted to know how I did it. They were so eager to learn what the magic formula was but I had to disappoint both of them when I said I didn't know.
I just read my post of 4/22/15 and I still don't know how I continued to do what I needed to do. I went through (and still have) issues with my ankle - which I know will result in surgery, but that's another story. I was "slumpy" last month going through non-treadmill time. but I still continued, I never gave up. I was still eating properly even though I wasn't moving.
I told my friends that one of my rules was not to call what I was doing a diet, it was a lifestyle change and I was on a journey to change my life. My 4/22/15 post read that I was excited to see what was going to happen at the end of this journey, but I realized when I reached my 75 pound goal that my journey is never really over. My journey is to be best ME I can be!
Maybe that's the magic formula and that's the answer. To be the best YOU that you can possibly be.
This might be cliche', but here are some "magic" words that I have found *work for me (*not worked as I continue to use them):
1. IT'S NOT A DIET, IT'S A JOURNEY. I have lived by this and have never, ever called it a diet. It's a process, it's a journey.
2. CHANGE ONE THING AT A TIME. MAKE THAT THAT CHANGE AND KEEP DOING IT. BEFORE YOU KNOW IT THAT CHANGE HAS BECOME A HABIT. Seriously, one step at a time, one meal at a time, one day at a time.
4. DON'T GIVE UP. It took me over a year to lose 75 pounds (my original goal was by 12/25/15) and on New Years I looked back at how far I'd come thought there was NO way I was going back.
5. THE RESULTS WILL NOT HAPPEN OVERNIGHT. It's a process and this process takes time.
As I said in my previous blog, my journey continues. Onward!
