Weekly Plan - April 4-10, 2016 - I Can't Do It All

Monday, April 04, 2016

OK. I'm freaking out a little bit about this week, and about everything I have to do today...

I've had to increase my hours at work, and now I join the millions of you who work full-time while trying to manage a family. I don't know how you do it! I am so thankful that my grandson is now old enough to "babysit" his little sister for an hour or two until a grown-up comes home. But getting dinner on the table now requires more prep than before (I try to have dinner at 5:00 so everything else can happen to get little sister to bed at a decent hour). Some things are just gonna have to be more flexible (like dinner time, when I won't be getting home until just before 5:00). I'm gonna have to call on Grandson to help get things in the oven, etc, so we can have dinner w/ time for everything else to happen in the evenings.

So here's my plan for this week... It's ambitious, but we (try to) eat clean, and I don't have any food in the freezer. This schedule change was a little unexpected... I will be doing more batch cooking in the future and restock the freezer w/ family-friendly clean meals. But in the meantime... We're doing the best we can w/ what we got (even if that means prepping the night before or morning of, like when I forget to take the chicken out of the freezer to thaw... A-hem!)

I thought my schedule was busy. I work full time and I go to college and I have a kid. I do like how you schedule time for bible reading. Something I do not do but need to.
