Month 1 Progress Report

I am so happy and excited to be doing this! It has really changed my life around. A month ago I was struggling with depression and didn't leave the house because I didn't want anyone to see me and I'd get out of breath just going to the mailbox. I can move so much easier without the joints getting so stiff. Now I only feel that in the evenings when I sit for longer than an hour. I love eating healthier and even getting the hang of cooking new things. A month ago I had acid reflex so bad I couldn't even swallow water. So much has improved in my life, it's wonderful! I'm excited for Month 2! Bring it!!

P.S. I almost forgot the biggest one of all ... a month ago I was having 2 rum & cokes every night! EVERY night! I saved 1 last one, just in case, and it's still there. I haven't needed or wanted it.

Here's one of my motivational tools. I got the idea from Pinterest. Jar on the right is pounds I need to lose. Jar on the left is pounds I have lost (14.8 pounds in 1st month). Little guy in the center is an adipose from Doctor Who or a fat cell.

A month ago I hated taking my measurements. But had to get the awful starting point to be able to show improvement. Adding up all the measurements I've lost 12.75 inches in total. Here's the breakdown from head to toe:
Neck - 0.5"
Armpits - same
Bust - 3"
Chest - 1.5"
Upper arm - 1"
Forearm 0.5"
Waist - 1"
Tummy - 3.5"
Hips - same
Thighs - 2"
Calf - 0.25" bigger (muscle firmness, maybe?)

Here's to more exciting things to come!

    Excellent progress!

    I am so happy to hear that you are feeling so much better. Keep up the good work and just keep putting one foot in front of the other. Before you know it all of those beautifully colored glass pebbles in the jar on the right will have leaped right over adipose into the jar on the left and you will begin marking new milestones ... weeks in maintenance or whatever milestone suits your fancy.

    That made me emotional. I'm not even gonna lie. It's amazing what one month of change can do. One step: exercising for 10+ minutes everyday and suddenly everything is improving. Go you. You are awesome
