may goals

april was pretty successful. especially compared to the previous months. I felt like I gained some control. I did my 10 pounds in 10 days challenge and the biggest thing I got from it was a sense of self control. I want to focus on that in may. the challenge had 10 things to do for 10 days and I did most of them daily. in may I'm going to focus on the ones that I felt worked for me. my big challenge is going to be my drinking goal. my goal is one drink on Saturday. that's it. tough, but I know I can do it.
the goals from the challenge I'm going to focus on:
1. track food
2. workout
3. drink coffee (i'll be consuming tea)
4. drink water
5. no alcohol (see above)
6. no sugar or processed foods
7. sleep

it's pretty basic and while I was focusing on the tasks I felt like I could succeed. that's a feeling I haven't had in a very long time. I felt like I could go to the store and not buy junk food. I felt confident and trusted in the process. it's been a long time since I felt any of those things and I realize that's been a problem for quite some time. I'm in charge of my journey, not diet dr. pepper, rum, cookies, chips, frozen pizza. me!
