My best investment for weight loss cost me $1

Forget the pills, forget the books, forget all these fancy video's. You don't need them! I did take a short haitus but only after I lost 76 lbs. Now I am back to lose the last 50 lbs. I know I can do this because I did it before. Sparkpeople gave me all the tools I needed except the measuring cups and food. measuring cups are the best investment you can make when doing your weight loss journey because although you may eat healthy you still may be eating more than you should.

Because I have many food allergies I find that I cannot eat many things that would normally be eaten during this time however I have improvised to suit my needs. I shop the paremeter of the grocery store meaning fruits, veggies, meat and milk. I may go into the other parts of the grocery aisle for a few things but it is very limited. the biggest thing to give up during your weight loss journey is processed food.

No I am not saying I deny myself anything however something that I would not normally eat is given one day a week. I call it my cheat meal. I have found however that cakes and pies do not appeal to me anymore. they tend to be too sweet so while others are enjoying their sweet treats that pack on the pounds I am enjoying my sweet fruit.

I have learned a lot by reading many of the articles on sparkpeople. losing weight takes education and research. now that sparkpeople has sparkpeople.tv I will be adding that into my daily routine.

So the next time you think you need those expensive diet pills or those late night infomercial video's such as 21 day fix think again. I am guilty of buying 21 day fix I will not lie and I found that those little containers that they go crazy over are nothing more then measuring cups and it is a lot cheaper.

my own smoothies that I make are another great item as a meal replacement. I put all kinds of fresh fruit and veggies in them and they taste terrific without all the calories.
