Heatwave Coming, Earthquake Insurance, Misc.

Saturday, June 18, 2016

Wow, if you've ever had the lunch specials at Red Lobster, they have the most AMAZING shrimp tacos. Really, mega-delish.

Okay, so tomorrow is supposed to bring a big heatwave and we're into a five-year drought which means trouble as we head into fire season. But you really can't sit and worry as we all know how useless and stressful that is.

After last week's big earthquake that woke me up in the middle of the night, I've been sleeping in my clothes - just in case. I also checked my homeowners policy and was shocked to see that I don't have earthquake coverage. I've always known that's a separate rider, but I thought I had it. This morning, I called my insurance guy and said to sign me up as for right now. I mean, how can I live in earthquake country without it? Any damage caused by a quake would not be covered and how heartbreaking would that be?

Hope all are happy and healthy. Enjoy your weekend.

Good for you getting all the insurance in order...for us it will be for car insurance...may be changing our policy...I like Red Lobster treats even though fish isn't my favourite other than the shrimp!

good thing you checked on that,we live in flood area. My friend years ago had fire insurance, but she signed for the one that if there is a fire she would not get replacement for her items, she would only get the value of what the items were when she first got them . She told us the insurance company never explained to her the difference, needless to say she hardly got any money for losing her whole house to a fire!! That must be frightful to have to sleep in your clothes to escape an earthquake, & those wretched fires prayers & emoticon

Your mind should be at ease a little more now that you have the EQ insurance.
I hope that the heatwave doesn't happen as It is very unpleasant when it gets
to be so hot. we are experiencing rain here and it's a plus as we normally have dry winters.
The drought in the outback has been going on for yeas and I only hope they get some
of this rain to help ease the farmer's suffering. Have a great weekend.

Red Lobster is my favorite place to eat. I start to drool when I hear the words.

It cooled off here today and yesterday which is nice as it was so miserable.

I don't know if we have EQ insurance or not.

I've never had earthquake insurance 'cause it's super expensive. You're right, that's probably very negligent living in SoCal. We were out of town when last week's earthquake happened. Not sad about that.
Not looking forward to the heat these next few days, but whatchagonnado?
    Have a great weekend.
