Healing the broken hesrt.

Wednesday, August 03, 2016

My recovery from heart surgery is going ok. I'm having a problem trying to do physical things. I can't walk half a mile with out getting dizzy and breathless. I don't have any energy. I saw the cardiologist yesterday. He didn't seems concerned but he has referred me to cardiac rehab and is going to do another echocardiogram to see how well my heart is functioning. Praying that the cardiac rehab will help me get back to being more active. I'm assuming I'll find out what I can and can't do, excercise wise. It is also comforting to know there will be doctors and nurses around, just in case. Otherwise, life is good. Still not out and about a whole lot, but I think that will come. God is in control and I am trusting that He has a purpose for all of this. Ultimately, He is the one who heals the heart. So I'm entrusting mine to Him.

Joe went to cardiac rehab. They really got him going - it was like having his own personal trainer. Excellent idea. Prayers for your recovering health.

He is the one Who put healing in our bodies for anything -- colds, scratches, stomach aches, etc. Doctors can prescribe medicine and do surgery for removal or repair, but in the end, it is always God Who provides the healing.

Don't make God do the things you can do for yourself. He has a lot on his plate. Figure out what you can do to help yourself. When I can't exercise i find things that I can do to keep my mind active. I spent 2 months building a Kayak( I've now messed up my left arm and I have a Prosthetic right foot so im not much into the exercise stuff but there is the world of warcraft and facebook and spark-people to keep me busy until the arm heals.
