August Goals

Wow, it's been a long time since I've blogged. I feel like I've only been blogging when I am super motivated or super depressed. So today I've decided to make a quick blog about my goals for August.

1. Lose 8 pounds
2. Log on to Spark every day between August 4th - August 31st.
3. Workout 10 times this month.

That's it. I need to stop overthinking everything. I have been trying to get back on track for 3 years now and lose this weight once and for all. I don't know what else to do but to keep trying. So here I am. Attempt #508. Hopefully this will be my last!

    I'm also trying to get my progress going again! (been so far unsuccessful lol).
    Focusing on each 2 lbs really helps me. When I see a 1 lb loss I celebrate (not with food, whenever I do that I gain that pound right back!) and then push forward for the next pound!
    Tell yourself every morning that this time is different and make 1 change every day. Each positive change you make leads to more and more and MORE!!
    It's hard, I know, I've been yo yoing all year but once you get in the groove (past those first days) it starts to become automatic and you feel motivation and empowerment!

    You can do this! Journaling using the blog really helps me even when I don't have anything super good to share. It's nice to get out those feelings and to get some support too. One thing that might help is to recognize your weaknesses. For me, once I figured out what I struggled with and was more aware it made it easier. Not always smooth sailing, but it's better when you're prepared. Now what I mean?

    Like, one of my biggest problems was not planning ahead in the past. I'd say "today I am going to be on track" but then realize I didn't buy the right food and had no idea how to handle my day. Another thing that I would do is overthinking so I wouldn't start. I would be trying to decide on what exercise routine I thought was best instead of just doing something. Oddly walking was the best thing I ever did for myself and it's free. All those DVD's later HAHAHA.

    emoticon I don't know how many times I've gotten off track, only to have to try to get back on track yet again! I'll get off track for a week or two, gain five or ten pounds--or more!--and then have to get back to it! It happens to everyone. If you just stick with it you will see results. I've been trying to get back on track now for just two weeks and I've lost 5 pounds which has gotten me back to 70 pounds lost so it can be done! You will do it, too!

    It does not matter how many times we fall down, what matters is that we get back up. Keep on getting up until you find what will work for you. One of these time it will stick. Iam far from where I want to be but one thing that has helped me get the ball rolling "this time" is to not focus on a specific number x amount of pounds. When I stopped worrying about a number the weight seemed to come off more easily. And I just try to make 1-2 maybe 3 healthy changes every few days, then I add a couple more and so on. That way I didn't feel overwhelmed trying to change everything at once. Good luck! I know you can do it! emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

    Huh I've been there repeatedly but every time I come back on Sp I learn so much more which helps in motivating me to hang in there

    Your blog is cute. I feel a lot of us are here for the 508 time. Like you said you have to keep trying. I hope you accomplish your goals this month. Little by little. Don't get overwhelm. I like login bc it's a free judgement area and much suppor
