Complaint free challenge day 5
Friday, August 19, 2016
This week I was working on a #complaintfreechallenge on Facebook I one of my groups. Overall I did pretty good. My biggest complaint was about my slumlord (changing bracelets lol) being here every day. Working on a door for a rusted out shed next to the house instead of fixing Anything around or in the house. Today he tried to add his trash (again) to My bulk pickup, as he'd done when he first got back to town a few weeks ago. He already tried to add a box he'd gotten a set of plastic shelves for the shed out of, into my recycle.
Sure, it sounds petty. But this guy has used me and my boyfriend/son for free labor on this dilapidated house and now is trying to lie his way out of evicting me and my son (roommate already left). With my #cfc this week though, I learned to find something I like in each situation. In this case, I like that I am using my abilities and beliefs to stand up for myself and make sure this guy will Have to fix this decrepit place before he died anything else. I also like that we'll be moving, starting over in a new, better place and situation.
Today is the last official day of this challenge. I've learned more awareness of my own negativity and how to deal with that of others, particularly those who are difficult people in my life, or in situations I find myself in. Yay me! Work in progress...😉😎🎉
