Don't Judge!

Saturday, November 19, 2016

My day starts with stretching. My body doesn't want to move in the mornings unless I stretch. Made breakfast & snacks, read some emails, watched a few Youtube videos and then headed to work. It was cloudy but the temperature was felt good to me (have hot flashes). Got to work & had my coffee & took my meds. Decided on taking some pain meds for my back. It's been hurting for some reason.

Around noon, it starts to rain. In walks a homeless man. I guess he could read my facial expressions & said he was trying to find a place to get out of the rain, and he would leave when the next bus came (no bus in my city). He was soaked & he smelled. Now, I'm at work trying to finish a project before I went to lunch. He starts talking to me & asking me questions. I answer cause I don't want to be rude, but he was becoming a distraction & I had a deadline. Then he asked if I had some dry socks. I didn't. Of all days, I wasn't wearing socks. I would have given him the socks off my feet. He started asking more questions. Did I like poetry & what was my favorite thing. I told him I did like poetry & my kids were my favorite things. He made up a poem using their names. Then he made up a rap song using my name. Very intelligent, but I could tell he was schizophrenic or had some kind of mental issue. He stayed for maybe a hour & as people passed, he spoke, but I could tell by their faces that they were worried about me. I won't lie. At first I was ready to put him out, but then I thought, WWJD. When he left, he said he would be back to visit me. I hope he does. This time I'll have dry socks, and some clothing he can use. #DontJudge
