Drink your water!

Today marks the first day of the challenge I posted on the Spark CT - The Official Team page. Being one of the leaders, I am always trying to figure out ways to help others reach their goals. And be the 'resident cheerleader'. Which fits my personality because way back in the day (way back!) I was a cheerleader in high school.

It is important to drink your water daily. As I pointed out in the challenge, it has so many benefits. If you are not on the team, you can pop over and check it out. I know that I feel the difference when I am not getting my water in daily. Actually, by the end of the night I will begin to have a slight headache which is a sign a lot of times for me that I am dehydrated. So, before I reach for that bottle of ibuprofen, I reach for a bottle of water instead and slowly drink it over the hour before going to bed. Usually does the trick by the downside of that is for me, waking up in the middle of the night to make a bathroom call!! Ha ha. But, I would rather do that then take more drugs. I take enough already for different problems I have so I try to stay away from the OTC stuff as much as possible.

Plus, I have been noticing under my eyes looking very tired yet, I am not tired. Hmmmm. So, I remember what my oldest daughter told me once that drinking more water helps with the skin and should help with that. So, that was the brain child of my challenge when I looked in the mirror and saw how my eyes looked.

Now, drinking water plain may not be for everyone. You can have iced tea instead and make that your water intake. Or, crush up some berries and put them in your water to flavor it a bit. There are many ways to get your water in without running to the tap or grabbing that bottle you bought from the store. You can even google it and get even more ideas.

So, drink your water. It will help not only with your weight loss efforts, but in other ways too!!

    Love my emoticon I used to have a problem with drinking it each day. But, now I realize as time has gone by, that I always feel and look better (skin) when I do my 12-16 a day. I include Ice tea in that total. emoticon emoticon emoticon

    Deb - late coming to this great blog - reasons to drink the water - ways to make it more palatable (my particular problem!) all rolled into one. I do drink a lot of herb tea and now I've followed your suggestion and googled other ways to perk up my water I'm hoping I'm on my way. At my age, anything that plumps up my wrinkles is definitely worth trying! emoticon emoticon

    water does a body good in so many ways . only drink that and coffee and tea

    I could barely sleep last night, my legs were so achy (not from exercising), probably due to being dehydrated, I never drink water. So today I will challenge myself to drink 8 glasses. Plus after reading your post, my face and eyes do look dull and tired. Thanks for the post! It was eye-opening!

    How true that is. I drink my water everyday. Some medications can harm you if you do not get in enough water too. So drink that water.
