Rain on trees

Monday, February 20, 2017

Sunday I got out for a rainy walk in the woods. It was a new-to-me trail and I was delighted by this wonderful forest. I didn't even mind the rain.

The video does't want to work for everyone. I'll post a couple pictures in it's place, including pics from my Monday walk in the rain.

Those pictures are of the MikeO puncheon bridge. It is named after one of the volunteers who built the trail. The bridge was built in 2012.

The puncheon bridge crosses a sooty wetland swamp an is 600 feet long. This is a mixed-use trail and that is a hitching post for horses. I only saw mountain bikes while I was out on my rainy walk.

On Monday I went for another rainy walk. Since I didn't try to take a video, I had room on my phone to take more pictures.

Can you see the beaver dam running across the center of the picture?

It was a misty rainy day

This picture gives the same feel as the video tried to present. You just can't hear the rain falling.
