I Am Back

Thursday, March 09, 2017

I lost 35 pounds on Spark People many years ago and lost another 10 using the principles I learned here on SP. However over the years I got heal spurs and then ended up needing two hip replacements and that really cut into my activity level. I have also been trying to manage my house and my mom's and the weight gradually crept back. So here I am back again to get a refresher course and see if I can do this all over again. Any encouragement as I set and strive to reach new goals will be appreciated.

You are definitely welcomed back! My story is kind of similar to yours. I was "almost there" in the weight/health/exercise dept. Then 2006 hubby had a serious stroke. He is with me. He uses a motorized wheelchair and I have aides to get him up in the morning and back into bed at night.

I just moved us closer to my family near Buffalo, NY. And, we are now in an independent senior apartment complex. They do quite of the daily chores for me. Rent includes all utilities. So I don't have the worries of owning a home anymore.

Good luck to you. Mainly keep sparking no-matter-what. It helps.

Yea I feel like I will be here for life or will gain back. Not sure, still not at goal yet but I feel like I will go back to my old ways if I leave spark ever. Maybe not but it worries me already haha!

I also had great results in the past with SP, stopped logging for whatever reason, then my fitness level dropped for whatever reason and the pounds started adding up. I NEED MY SP! Best of luck to you and welcome back! I wish you lots of success.
