A Mini Victory!

Thursday, March 30, 2017

Still 205lbs this morning. So I guess this means the fast "I'm just starting" weight loss has ended, and now the real work comes in since the scale will be moving weekly instead of daily.
But! The good news is I didn't gain, like I typically do! emoticon

I had another mini victory this morning. emoticon
Woke up had to rush to work, only had time to grab my packed lunch. I forgot about my breakfast! emoticon
So I knew I had to eat something, so stopped in at the local McDonald's. I ordered a feta and tomato breakfast wrap as a combo, with a coffee and hash-brown.

I was a little worried, since I didn't want to eat all of those calories but I know I have a history of not being able to control myself once I start eating. (Sounds a bit like a vampire.... emoticon haha

Anyway, so I ate the hash-brown and tried the wrap, pleased to see it tasted delicious. Half way through, around the 300 calorie mark, I noticed I was full and without even thinking put it to the side.
That's when I stopped what I was doing and stared at the wrap proudly, after realizing what i had just done. Since practicing only eating when hungry, and stopping when full, I have learned what those feelings actually feel like! So my body knew the moment I had enough and i automatically put it to the side for later. emoticon emoticon

I know some people may not understand how huge this is for me, but your talking to the girl that would eat and eat until uncomfortable full. So knowing my body automatically sensed it and did it without really thinking about it, feel like a huge moment for me!

Looking forwards to another amazing day.
Going to start making mini challenges for myself to working out!
I think I make a group just for myself, just to write out what I want to do each day and follow it!

That is awesome! I'm still trying to figure out the difference between true hunger and head hunger. They are so hard to tell apart some days! I will figure it out eventually though, I hope.

My DD is 26, has two girls and she's 5'9" and 140#. I tell her that no young woman should waste the best years of her life being fat. She works fill time and goes to college full time (The State College has most of her classes on-line now), but she works at being slim.
    You can get there.
Richard Bernstein M.D. who wrote "The Diabetes Solution" has a full chapter on PCOS in it. He says that all obese young women can benefit from taking Metformin in order to lose weight, since they nearly all have hormone imbalance. Being obese is a cause of it, but then having it makes it hard to control hunger and blood sugar levels go up and down, which effect moods, etc. He has lectures on YouTube.
