Almost 2 weeks down

Have been going strong in the boot camp challenge for almost 2 full weeks now. I also started training again with my trainer on the in between days, so I am strength training 5 days a week and doing cardio 6 days a week. I wont lie, it isn't easy. The extra workouts have had an impact on my running routine by slowing my pace, but I keep reminding myself that it will eventually balance out and benefit my running. I have done things the past 2 weeks that have been way out of my comfort zone, but I have learned a lot and have gained confidence.
I have a great trainer in the boot camp who is willing to answer questions and offer suggestions and advice beyond the scope of the boot camp. My upper body is very week and my core is unbalanced. I can't do a push up to save my life, nor can I do a proper sit up. This has always been something that has kept me from moving forward in strength training. But, with tips on how to modify and what to do to build to certain points, I have gained a desire to move toward new goals.
I am looking forward to where the next 4 weeks of this challenge will take me. So far, I am feeling pretty darned fierce!! I know it isn't something everyone can afford, but if you can even put aside a few dollars each paycheck and save up enough, I truly do recommend making use of a well qualified trainer. Even if it is just for a few sessions. Pick their brain, ask the questions and learn from them. You wont regret it.
