It’s A Mind Game

Wednesday, October 11, 2017

There are a couple of Sparkers that I have been following for inspiration on my journey. IndyGirl and GPalmer. They each have lost 200+ pounds without surgery. The one thing they said that sticks with me is we can lose the weight but if we don’t change the way we act or think we can’t win the weight loss battle.

It was not until this, my final journey, that I too realized that I know how to lose weight but I never took the time to learn how to keep it off, so it kept coming back. I knew all the things required for loss but I never gave any thought to what happened when I reached goal. After reaching goal I just kept going back to the same old, same old, and of course, I gained the weight back again. Usually with a few more pounds for good measure.

On this journey I am taking the time, however long that is, to develop the tools to not only lose but keep the weight off. I am not just changing how I eat but also how I think about food. I am in this for the long haul but I plan to make this my LAST haul.

If it is to be, it must begin with me.

Keep Moving Forward.

good luck to you! It is so true that we have to want change, and behave in ways to facilitate those changes we want. NOT easy. BUT then we have to choose our hard. Is it easier to stay where we're at OR make changes to become better, healthier?
