Last Month of 2017

Friday, December 01, 2017

My Fall 5% Challenge ends tomorrow. November was a hard month for me with lots of physical challenges that stymied my weight loss efforts. I did not reach the Challenge goal.

However, I did persevere through the surgeries, medications, plateau, curtailed exercise, and the holiday weekend and managed to eke out a minor loss for the month.

It’s December and I am ready to tackle this last month of 2017 with determination and a positive attitude about my weight loss journey. I won’t get into the 170’s this year but I will still do my best to finish strong so I have less to lose at the start of the new year.

We set goals and strive hard to achieve them; but they are not set in stone and life circumstances can sometimes change the outcome. However a delay does not mean you cannot achieve your goal it just means that you may have to work a little harder and take a little longer to get there.

I am okay with that. “When life is pressing you down a bit, rest if you must, but don’t you quit.”

I won’t.

We always have to have a goal. When one is reached, we must find another. This just gives you more time to decide what the following goal will be.
