A New Year!

As the New Year approaches it’s time to look at the last 12 months. There were good times and bad, but definitely more good times. I think we tend to dwell on the bad, and give it more importance than it deserves.
The more I think about it, the bad times weren’t so bad after all. They may have been disappointing, inconvenient, worrisome or even very sad. That’s kind of a definition of life isn’t it? My immediate family all have their health, a nice home to live in and those who aren’t retired yet, have a good job! Knowing sadness is the only way we will know what being happy feels like.
Good times, yeah there were a lot of those! A family vacation, long chats and lunches with a dear friend, some great holiday get togethers, and lots of smiles, hugs and kisses from my granddaughters! Times like these need to be more important than the bad times. We need to hold tight the happy times and remember how they make us smile and feel in our hearts.
The disappointments and heartaches will always be there, but remember to learn from them and move on. Move on and create more good times!
