2017 End of Year Review
Saturday, December 30, 2017
In November I gave myself a Clean Slate. An opportunity to feel good and reset without guilt. I've dropped a few pounds. This morning scale read 214.4, down 4.5 pounds. I'm not so much hung up on the exact numbers any more. Our body is a huge science project, our weight daily goes up and down. Which is why the weekly or monthly weigh in for tracking purposes is better for me. But I do love to jump on the scale. I'm a scale junkie I admit it.
What I'm most proud of , is that my process, my foundation is better. I'm more in line with taking simple positive steps, planning my food, shopping and preparing. Not looking at food as good or bad, asking myself do I really want that, did it taste good. If indulged, did I account for that and balance out through the rest of the day. I'm not saying that all that is perfectly in place, but it's
a foundation, and takes daily practice.
I'm continuing each morning, to start the day slow, with a moment of Gratitude and ask God's Grace to help me be the best me I can. To be thankful for my blessings. I find that moment helps me focus for the day ahead.
I am looking forward to the New Year and I'm excited to see where this journey takes me.
As always I want to thank all of my fellow sparkers for your support and encouragement. It's a struggle, some days more than others, and having the support of others I'm grateful. Getting other points of view, or simply some one saying, you've got this. Happy New Year.
