Ok so I’m about a week in to The Year of Mommy.
Still going strong, albeit one bad night of wine/food. Lots of craziness at work and it was Friday night family movie-and-order-food night.
Running is good. I did a real solid 4 miler on Saturday, and a real solid 3 miler today. Both sub-11 minute mile pace overall which is quite good for me!
I signed up for a 10K on 2/3 and a 10 miler on 3/4 so there is hope that my spring half marathon will happen. I have however been in this boat before where I start strong and then the kids are all sick or the weather sucks and my training goes to hell so I just eat and drink a lot. And that cycle has obviously worked real well.
I’m actually quite disappointed that after just ONE night of crap food and wine, I erased all the good work I’ve done over 8 days. I saw 197 on the scale last week but haven’t cracked 199 since Friday night...which is unmotivating. Hoping for a loss tomorrow, but also trying to remind myself that my goal is 195 by 2/1 so there’s plenty of time.
I know I know, people recommend weighing in weekly but I like doing it daily for accountability. And little fluctuations are motivating so long as the overall direction is down.
Ok. Long post just to say I am still grinding along and hope to see more progress soon.
