My first thought was to wait until Ash Wednesday and use Lent as my motivation to begin sparking again. I quit sparking several months ago. I had lots of excuses - my tracker died, I was taking care of my 90 year old mother with Alzheimers, it took too much time at the computer tracking food and exercise and reading blogs, articles, etc. But where did that get me? My prize is the 5 pounds that I have gained back.
It was because of the encouragement of a couple of Spark Friends (thank you LeanJean and Prncscup1-2Full !) that I decided to come back to Spark People! As I thought about all the positives of sparking again, I thought why wait until Ash Wednesday ?
February 1st is the beginning of a new month and still kind of the new year! So a few days ago I started preparing myself for this day. Last night I was actually psyched up thinking about today day being a new day for me! Happy to be back! It feels good!
