Staying Active to Succeed

Spark People says if u stay active on the site u are more likely to succeed! Therefore, I am shooting for 365 days of logging in- tracking food, fitness, water, & sleep. I'm at 110 today. I've been doing some kind of fitness everyday since Dec 24th. I've started making Wed a light day.

I am enjoying the BLC challenge. I joined the crimson butterflies- I did a really good job at picking the right team. U have to participate in the weekly games-- WEC; TNT; LCW; plus u are required to check in on a regular basis. This team I don't think is as fit as some of the teams that sound more like boot camp & not as social as some of the others. It's in the middle. I did my TNT today! Tomorrow I start on my WEC for the next 4 days. One of the things we have to do for the next 4 days is read an article on heart health. Wow I am going to learn something. I do enjoy their strict guidelines! It give me goals to achieve and the best part it's all good for me.

The 5% weight loss team is fun too! We track our daily exercise minutes to equal miles to travel around the world. This team is more relaxed than BLC. We also have weekly dares and this week's been the pain in the butt plank.-- Give you any idea how challenging that is for me! LOL! I've been trying the modified plank everyday-- started out at 15 seconds- now between 20-25.

The X-weighted team is more relaxed. They give us a challenge every week to do called ATC. I like them! They are fun. Right now we are doing a relay one. It goes really fast the more team members play. But you are not required to participate. I think the games are what makes the challenges fun! Otherwise I would just be posting my weight on different teams-- like I do on the weight tracker.

I will continue to join these teams and participate in their games-- It's all for my benefit. I'm the one who learns something, gets healthier, fitter, and skinner.

I spoke with my son yesterday and told him I lost 43lbs-- His first reaction was "is that a good thing" he thought maybe I got sick-- So I reassured him it was a good thing. He was so excited for me and even took time to ask me what my goal was. I told him to be less than 200 pounds by the end of the year. Actually 179. Figures crossed. As I'm losing weight I'm noticing it is coming off slower but still dong good. I keep my SP goals updated which updates my tracker. And I keep changing my exercise & increasing it. SP said that would keep me from plateauing. So I'm putting them to the test!

Today I have done 43 min strength -- still need to do cardio!! Maybe I'll do a DVD workout and later today take a walk.

Have a great day! Challenges are good for me!! Because I participate!! And they are FUN! Making this whole journey fun instead of boring!! Like all the other times I tried. This is the first time I found Team Challenges-- Thank You to BLC, 5% weight challenge; & X-Weighted!! I'm loving this!
