car mishaps and bad weather

Sunday, February 25, 2018

Today my oldest dear daughter DD asked to take our car to work.
20 minutes later we got a call that she had been in a fender bender
We got to the accident and gingerly approached as all the surfaces were covered in a slick film of ice
No one was hurt but there was significant damage done to the our van and the van that she slid into.
As we waited for the tow truck, my daughter is still recovering from an old concussion looked green, had a headache and felt nauseous.
A very nice policeman saw us waiting and stopped.
We decided to call an ambulance to check out my daughter.
the ambulance attendants were super nice and thought she may be better going home and seeing if her symptoms got worse before going o emergency.
While we were waiting the tow truck driver slipped and fell on the ice and the policeman almost did.
The very nice ambulance drivers took us to our car and put done salt so we could get to our car without any more mishaps. My husband went with the van to the collision centre.
No one else is driving today and I'm now very happy to stay home and make some delicious meals as stress release,

All's well that ends with no injuries.
Stay safe everyone. Life can turn on a dime.
Feeling a little shaken up and grateful.

Oh dear me! What a day you must have had. Golly, that was almost a month ago! Your blog notification got lost in the swamp I call my inbox. Yeesh!
This year the ice was pretty treacherous. I'm glad I have my ice grippers that I strap onto my boots. I have a photo on my phone of our road around that time. I will post it in my feed so you can see.
How is your kiddo now? I hope this didn't add to her other concussion injuries.

I hope your daughter was okay. We had three wrecked cars just weeks apart. My son's car was totaled, his wife's car was messed up badly by a valet service, and my husband hit a pole trying to avoid a collision with another car.

You are right about life turning on a dime. I am glad you are all okay and that the police officer and ambulance attendants were nice. I hope the tow truck driver is okay too.

Thanks for commenting on my blog, "The best laid plans." We did clean the upright freezer today.

I am so sorry about the accident. However, the weather conditions were terrible. Happy your daughter seems okay. The police man was certainly a nice guy. The EMS people were kind as well.

My friends and family wonder why I don't like snow. Ice comes with snow and this time of year seems like it isn't as safe to drive. Be careful, glad you are all safe
